Influence of aluminum alloy profile extrusion die on profile processing technology

Aluminum alloy profile extrusion die plays an important role in aluminum profile extrusion process. It is a basic tool to ensure product forming and make it have correct shape, size and accuracy. In actual production, some problems may occur in the process of facing extrusion.
1、 Effects of seam angle or poor welding:
The hollow aluminum alloy profile adopts the plane split combined die extrusion process, which relatively deepens the difficulty in the production of profile. The metal passes through the process of split and welding, so there is a welding line for the hollow profile.
There are two reasons for the gap: first, the shunt hole and welding chamber are narrow, the metal supply is insufficient, the metal does not form sufficient hydrostatic pressure in the welding chamber, and the product does not weld well and flows out of the mold hole, resulting in the existence of welding gap in the product;
Second, excessive lubrication and poor lubrication lead to poor welding of hollow profiles.
2、 Causes of concave or convex arcuate surface on aluminum alloy profile wall
1. Causes of concave arcuate surface of hollow aluminum alloy profile wall: the working belt of aluminum alloy profile mold core is lower than that of lower mold hole, and the effective length of the working belt of mold core is too short.
2. Causes of wall convexity of hollow aluminum alloy profile: the use time of the die is too long, the working belt of the die core is seriously worn, grooves appear, which increases the friction resistance, and the slow metal flow causes the wall convexity of hollow profile.
3、 Generation of stripes on the surface of aluminum alloy profiles
Stripes appear on the outer surface of extruded profile, which is more obvious after anodizing. This defect is mostly found in the parts with large wall thickness difference of profile, the welding part of metal under shunt bridge and the back with "branches" and threaded holes on the inner side.
Causes:
1. The "branches" and threaded holes on the inner side of the profile cause surface stripes due to insufficient or excessive metal flow;
2. The stripes on the profile surface caused by the welding area under the mold shunt bridge;
3. There are some problems in the design of profile section. Due to the large wall thickness difference of profile, the part with sudden change of working belt length produces stripe color difference after anodization;
4. The cooling capacity of the machine is not enough, resulting in black speckle area after anodizing;
5. The texture of the billet itself is not good, which affects the stripe color difference after anodizing.
4、 Ways of unreasonable bending and twisting of aluminum alloy profiles:
1. The working belt of the die core and the lower die hole is not matched reasonably, resulting in uneven metal flow velocity at all parts of the profile;
2. The size and position of the shunting hole of the symmetrical hollow profile die are asymmetric, and the metal flow is uneven, resulting in uneven metal flow rate;
3. The processing of shunt hole is irregular or there are obstacles on the mold core to hinder the metal flow.
Correction method:
1. Polish the outlet of the mold core or shunt holes with appropriate methods, and appropriately expand these shunt holes if necessary to balance the supply;
2. Remove obstructions by grinding
